The Vicks ZzzQuil match game was designed to build awareness and increase social media engagement. Offering a fun, re-playable game enabled us to engage users for an extended period of time on tablets and mobile phones running both Android and iOS.
The ad was served as an interstitial unit after they tapped a banner inviting them to play. The gameplay is familiar to almost anyone. You tap an object to reveal a picture and then try to find the matching picture under other objects. If a mismatch is revealed both pictures hide again challenging the user to remember where they are. The game is over when you have matched all of the pairs and all the objects are revealed. The player is timed and offered an opportunity to beat their time by playing again.
